AMSYSCO supplies barrier cable systems for vehicle and pedestrian restraint. The system meets the PTI Specification for Seven-Wire Steel Strand Barrier Cable Applications. The barrier cable system uses 0.5" diameter, 7-wire steel strands which are economical and flexible.
Structures exposed to corrosive environments, such as parking garages,
demand special protection. The AMSYSCO Encapsulated PT System is
designed and produced to provide the highest possible level of
corrosion protection. Our advanced design and manufacturing process
provides watertight encapsulation of the steel strand, anchorage and
all connections.
Our Monostrand ("regular" or non-encapsulated) PT system can be used as
an economical method in non-corrosive environments. Some applications
include indoor residential or office areas.
AMSYSCO provides shear reinforcement for punching shear and anchorage zone bursting containment.
The column shear reinforcement is a substitute for drop caps,
structural shear heads or extra rebar-stirrups. The potential for
reducing the slab thickness while maintaining punching shear criteria
is a key benefit of the shear reinforcement system. The other systems
are either costly to form or introduce unneeded congestion that may
affect concrete consolidation.
